Mar 4, 2010 Author: Micheal Burrows | Filed under: Uncategorized

Gone are the days when men are just tourists in the vanity world. Nowadays, men are keeping up with women when it comes to looking after their skin. Men are now mindful of their physical appearance so that they have to use various skincare products to maintain or enhance their looks. Thanks to various beauty manufacturers as there’s now a BB cream for men, exactly what the modern men require to fit into his active lifestyle. Among the well-known brands that carry BB cream for men are BRTC, Skin79, Hanskin, Etude House, and Dr. Jart.

Blemish balm cream or BB cream as commonly known, initially used by German dermatologists to aid patients who underwent laser surgery, is now one of the “in” things in Korea and other parts of Asia specially Japan. It was originally believed as a healing cream.

BB cream for men, which are slightly darker shade, waterproof and with varying SPF, conceals skin imperfections such as acne and blackheads, delays the process of aging, and weakens the skin texture. It promotes skin renewal, tightens pores, improves, curbs excessive facial oil, and whitens skin conditions made by shaving, sports and outdoor activities, etc.

Although it was first presented in 2002, BB cream is still something relatively new to a lot of men. In fact, in the market they are sometimes called colour lotion, BB UV, sun block, or BB fluid. Different names, but they are exactly the same thing – BB cream.

BB creams have impressed the market and more and more men, busy men, are considering and are actually using them. Progressively, men are becoming conscious of the importance of looking good. And Korean men are on top of the game without concern of being judged as metro sexual or anything to that effect.

BB Cream: The Hottest Beauty Product For Fashionistas

Mar 4, 2010 Author: Zachary Aderson | Filed under: Uncategorized

For a little while now, beauty aficionados particularly Asians are going gaga over BB cream a.k.a. blemish balm.

And for those, who are still not aware yet, BB cream is the latest addition in the beauty arena. It was first considered as a treatment balm for patients who underwent laser skin surgery. Quality outcomes then led to the striking popularity of BB Cream as big companies found its potential and made it as an addition to their collection of beauty products thus, having it usable to the general public. Beauty brands in Korea have since developed BB cream and made it more suited for Asian skin.

The real big thing about BB creams is that apart from being a skincare product, it is a healing cream as well blended with make-up. Unlike a regular foundation, BB creams contain (although not all) whitening and anti-aging properties. Apart from these, BB creams are also said to even out skin tone and lighten blemish scars.

Beauty connoisseurs rejoice for this new wonder as they get to save some dough with BB creams acting as a moisturiser, foundation, sun block, and make-up at the same time. Some skincare products could actually be eliminated. However, it is necessary that you shouldn’t do away with your daily skin care regime.

BB creams don’t discriminate a particular skin type. Whatever kind of skin you have, BB creams should be fine, even those with acne-troubled skin as they carry effective ingredients to polish off those skin problems.

People suffering with dark under eye circles, bothering eye bags, red spots or acnes can find satisfaction with BB creams as they also act as effective concealer.

These and more are the very reasons why BB creams acquired so much popularity in Asia and even across its borders.

Hair Loss 101

Mar 4, 2010 Author: Gregory Hilton | Filed under: Uncategorized

Each hair strand endures for an average of 4.5 years, after which the hair falls out and is replaced in 6 months by a new strand of hair. Every month, it grows about half an inch. “Hair loss” or baldness is a situation when the body stops to produce new hairs – and not literally due to hair loss.

Hair loss is due to several factors such as aging, heredity and testosterone. Usually, men and women lose hair thickness as they age. Genetic baldness involves more men than women. Men, however, who do not produce testosterone do not develop baldness patterns. Meanwhile, women acquire a hair loss due to genetics, age and pregnancy. Sometimes, sudden physical or emotional tension could lead one to lose half of the hair throughout the scalp. The hair shedding will stop only after 6 to 8 months. This tension could be stimulated by severe infections, childbirth, major illnesses, severe emotional stress, medications and crash dieting.

There are some women between the age of 30 and 60 years that may observe that their hair is reducing. Many have reported that this hair loss sets off heavy, with lots of strands stuck in combs or falling out in showers but will gradually lessen as they grow older. There is still no identified reason for this type of hair loss. Hair loss which results from menopause or childbirth usually returns to normal within 6 months to 2 years.

If you, however, had a hair loss because of radiation therapy or other illnesses, treatment is not needed. Your hair will naturally grow back until your body returns to its normal state.

Women who love hair pieces should refrain from suturing the hair accessories to the scalp as it runs the risk of scars and infection. For deep and excessive hair loss, it is safest to visit a doctor.
